Joshua is a third generation farmer and his family has been farming the same ground for over 40 years. His grandfather moved to Tamms, Illinois when he was a young boy and has taught each successive generation how to grow on the same land. Besides his expertise in growing row crops, Joshua has a bachelor’s degree in wildlife and conservation, and a minor in business administration.
Growing hemp in 2019 was his first experience with the cannabis plant. Hemp holds a certain mystique for him, since it has been previously illegal to grow. Now that he is involved in growing and processing hemp, he finds it fascinating! He is also amazed in the countless ways that hemp can help the human body!
Joshua has been happily married since 2010 and has both a daughter and son, whom love to work on the farm. Both his kids and his wife helped grow and harvest the hemp crop this past year. His wife especially, was a huge help!
