What personal data we collect and why we collect it
Comments & Reviews
When visitors leave comments on our blog posts or reviews on our products, we collect the data shown in the comments form, as well as the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. This data is collected solely to support the user experience on our website and to prevent abuse of our website or its users.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. Gravatar is a service that allows you to easily display an image alongside comments or blog posts on our website and others. The Gravatar privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your Gravatar profile picture may be visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. We don’t actively use or collect this information, but other visitors to the website may be able to download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Contact forms
When you fill out and submit a message using one of the contact forms on our website, we will use that information solely to respond to your submission. If you elect to subscribe to our email mailing list, your email address (as well as possibly your first and last name) will be added to that database as well in order to ensure delivery of the mailing list emails. Your submitted information will not be shared with outside parties unless and except where required by law.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
Certain other interactive features—such as modal pop-ups containing promotional offerings or other information—may create cookies as well. These cookies exist to optimize your experience on our website. For example, when you close a promotional pop-up or decline a special offer or invitation, a cookie is created to “remember” this action and prevent the pop-up or special offer from being presented when revisiting the site within a certain time period. They do not contain any personal information and will expire after a certain period of time.
Cookies will also be created by third-party analytical services such as Google Analytics and Facebook Retargeting. For more information, please see “Analytics” below.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
Analytics
Information may be collected for use in demographic and behavioral analytics for the purpose of better understanding user demographics, behavior, site interactions, and overall experience. Third party analytical services include services such as Google Analytics and Facebook Pixel. For more information on Google Analytics and Facebook Retargeting Pixel, see:

Whom we share your data with
Aside from third-party analytics services (as outlined above), collected data is never shared with anyone outside of our company, unless and except where required by law (as directed by a lawfully obtained and supplied subpoena or warrant). We do not sell, rent, or exchange personal information with others.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment or review a product, the submitted information is retained indefinitely in order to continue displaying the comment on our site. Published content will be removed at the request of the submitter.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
