Buffalo Bluffs was created to allow its founders, Hempartners LLC, to work in harmony with Nature to produce a line of cannabinoid products in the Shawnee Hills of Southern Illinois, above a historic place known locally as Buffalo Gap.
Farmland owned by one of our founders was converted to warm-season prairie grasses and native forbs in 1995. This land received no chemical herbicides, pesticides, or fertilizers of any kind, nor has the soil been disturbed by any tillage methods in the intervening years.
What has resulted is a level of balance in the soil ecosystem that is truly phenomenal. The prairie plants’ previous year’s growth is managed with fire.
In 2019, we planted our first hemp crop. A mix of cover crops provides fertilizer for our hemp plants. Competition from the prairie plants is abated during the hemp growing season by mowing and other labor-intensive means.
All of us truly believe in the merits and therapeutic qualities of hemp and are sincerely honored to be in a position to provide people with a product that to each of us has been a source of balance in our bodies and minds.

We feel an enormous responsibility to provide our customers products made from the highest quality hemp available.
Every step in the cycle of creating our products is done by one of us. In our facilities. On our farm.
We produce and propagate our own seed. We plant, farm, and harvest our own fields. We dry, store and process our hemp plants in our facilities and package them in our laboratory.
We can therefore speak unequivocally about the honesty and integrity of our hemp.
